Hiura was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1st round (9th) of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of California. He made his MLB debut on May 14, 2019 against the Philadelphia Phillies collecting 2 hits at 3 at bats. He played in 84 games that season. Hiura played for the Brewers until 2023 when he was granted free agency. In 2024, he played in 10 games for the Los Angeles Angels. In 2025, he played in 8 games for the Colorado Rockies.
