Martorella was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 5th round of the 2022 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of California, Berkeley. This year, Martorella, was in the Miami Marlins, minors playing DH and 1st base for their AAA team – Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
