Autograph #156 – Today we received a response to our autograph request #75 to former New York Mets pitcher Jon Matlack. Matlack signed our request letter and added an inscription “1972 N.L. R.O.Y.” It took 17 days to get a response. We sent our request to his home address which is 234 Sylvan Lake Dr, Rabun Gap, GA 30568. Thanks Mr. Matlack!

Matlack was drafted by the New York Mets in the 1st round (4th) of the 1967 MLB June Amateur Draft from B. Reed Henderson HS (West Chester, PA). Matlack pitched for the Mets from 1971 to 1977. Before the 1978 season, he was part of a 4 team trade and ended up pitching for the Texas Rangers from 1978-1983. He retired after the 1983 season.
