Autograph #164 – Friday I received a response from former MLB pitcher George “Doc” Medich. It took sometime to identify who it was as nothing was included with the photograph. A quick post in The Trading Card Database solved the mystery. We received his response in 17 days. We sent our request to Mr. Medich at 3007 Woodfield Dr.,
Aliquippa, PA 15001-1163.

Medich was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 30th round of the 1970 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of Pittsburgh. He played with the Yankees from 1972-1975, Pittsburgh Pirates in 1976, in 1977 he played with 3 teams – Oakland A’s, Seattle Mariners and New York Mets. He played for the Texas Rangers from 1978-1982 and finished he career in the later part of 1982 with the Milwaukee Brewers.
