Autograph Request #167 – Today we received a response from our autograph request (#80) from former MLB pitcher Jay Hook. He signed our autograph request letter. It took 23 days to receive his response. We mailed our request to Jay Hook, 2230 West Nemeskal Road, Maple City, Michigan 49664. Thanks Mr. Hook!

Hook was signed by the Cincinnati Redlegs as an amateur free agent in 1957. He made it to MLB that same year and pitched for Cincinnati till 1961. Hook was drafted by the New York Mets from the Cincinnati Reds as the 3rd pick in the premium phase ($125k) of the 1961 expansion draft. He played with the Mets till 1964.
