Autograph #170 – Today we received a response from our Autograph Request #100 – Steve Shields. We received a signed 3×5 index card from Mr. Shields. It took 14 days to get a response from him. We mailed our request to Steve Shields at 3049 Posey Rd,
Gadsden, AL 35903-6807. Thank you Mr. Shields!!

Shields was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 10th round of the 1977 MLB June Amateur Draft from Hokes Bluff HS (Hokes Bluff, AL). By 1985, he signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Braves and made his MLB debut that year. By the end of the 1986 season, Shields was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Kansas City Royals was traded him at the end of the 1986 to the Kansas City Royals. He signed with the New York Yankees in 1987 who traded him at the beginning of 1989 to the Minnesota Twins. He finished his majors career with the Twins that year.
