Halvorsen was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 7th round of the 2023 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of Tennessee. He made his debut for the Rockies on August 30, 2024 pitching one inning against the Baltimore Orioles. He pitched in 12 games that year. Halvorsen made the roster in 2025 pitching in 42 games.
