McDonald signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Los Angeles Rams in 2023. He did not make the team. In 2024, he signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL. McDonald played in 2 games. He just signed a contract to play in the UFL for the Houston Gamblers.
