Hinton was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants out of the University of Michigan in 2022. He bounced around the NFL on different practice squads until the Los Angeles Chargers elevated him the roster in 2022 playing in 4 games. Hinton spent 2023 going from the Chargers practice squad to the roster and played in 3 games. He spent the 2024 season on the Chargers practice squad and was finally release before the start of the 2025 season.
