Autograph #302 – This is an 8X10″ autographed picture from former pitcher Casey Cox while he was with the Washington Senators. I don’t have a record of when I sent my request or when I received his autograph. He passed away in October of 2023.
Cox was signed by the Cincinnati Reds as an amateur free agent prior to 1962. In 1962, he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians from the Cincinnati Reds in the 1962 first-year draft. In 1963, he was waived by the Indians and picked up by the Washington Senators. Cox made his MLB debut on April 15, 1966 against the Detroit Tigers. In August 1972, he was traded to the New York Yankees. He was released by the Yankees in 1973. Cox ended his career with a 39-42 record with an ERA of 3.70 and 297 strikeouts.
