Autograph #304 – This is an autographed 8X10″ photograph of former MLB pitcher Chuck Cary playing with the New York Yankees. I do not have any records of when I requested his autograph or received it.
Cary was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 7th round of the 1981 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of California, Berkeley. He made his MLB debut on August 22, 1985 against the Oakland Athletics. He pitched for the Tigers till his was traded early in the year to the Atlanta Braves. He was released by the Braves after the 1988 season. Cary signed with the New York Yankees in 1989 and was released after the 1991 season. In 1992, Cary pitched for the Yomiuri Giants in the Japan Central League. He returned to MLB in 1993 and finished his career with the Chicago White Sox. He pitched in 134 games and had an 14-26 record with an ERA of 4.17 and 322 strikeouts.
