Stoudamire was drafted by the Toronto Raptors in the 1st round (7th pick, 7th overall) of the 1995 NBA Draft out of the University of Arizona. He made his NBA debut on November 3, 1995. He played with the Raptors till February 13, 1998 when he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. He stayed with Portland till the 2004-2005 season. He signed as a free agent with the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2006-2007 season and stayed with Memphis till the 2007-2008 season when he was waived on January 28, 2008. He signed on with the San Antonio Spurs for the rest of that season. He went into coaching after that season. Stoudamire is currently the head coach at Georgia Tech University.
