Autograph #325 – This is an 3X5″ autographed picture of Casey Candaele with the Houston Astros. I pretty sure that I obtained his autograph at one of the Houston Astros Fan Fest that they has in early 1990’s or their Fan Caravan when they would come to New Orleans with about 5 or 6 players to promote the season and sign autographs.

Candaele was signed as an amateur free agent out of the University of Arizona in 1982. He made his major league debut on June 5, 1986 against the Philadelphia Phillies. He ended up playing in 30 games that season. He continued to play with the Expos till July 23, 1988 when he was traded to the Houston Astros. He played with the Astros till the end of 1993 when he was granted free agency. He played in the minors from 1994-1995 in the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations. He made it back to the MLB level with the Cleveland Indians in 1996 playing in 24 games for the Indians and 1997 playing in 14 games for the Indians. He then continued playing for another three seasons, shuffling around the minors, retiring after the 2000 season. Candaele is currently the manager of the Buffalo Bison AAA team for the Toronto Blue Jays.
