Autographs #355 & 356 – Today we received a response to our Autograph Request #101 – Gerald Govan. He sent us an autographed 1971-72 Topps #176 Gerald Govan RC and also signed our autograph request letter. It took 191 days for us to receive his response. We sent our request to Gerald Govan, 192 Bergen Avenue, 1st Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07305. Thanks Mr. Govan!

Govan was drafted by the St. Louis Hawks in the 11th round (4th pick, 90th overall) out of Saint Mary of the Plains College in the 1964 NBA Draft. Instead of playing in the NBA, he played several seasons in Italy. He then spent nine years in the now-defunct American Basketball Association, playing for the New Orleans Buccaneers, Memphis Pros, Utah Stars and Virginia Squires. He tallied 5,251 career points and 7,119 career rebounds, and he appeared in the 1970 ABA All-Star Game.
