Autograph #388 – This is a signed 3X5″ index card that I received from Alan Embree when he was with the Cleveland Indians. I do not have the date that I sent my request but I do have on the back of the index card that I received it from him on 3/12/1994. I probably mailed my request to him c/o the Cleveland Indians.

Embree was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 5th round of the 1989 MLB June Amateur Draft from Prairie HS in Brush Prairie, WA. He made his MLB debut on September 15, 1992 against the Toronto Blue Jays. He pitched for the Indians till 1996 with a stint in the Indians minors from 1993-1994. Before the start of the 1997 season, he was traded to the Atlanta Braves. In July 1998, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks. After the 1998 season, he was traded to the San Francisco Giants. June of 2001, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox. After the 2001 season, he was granted free agency and signed with the San Diego Padres. In June 2002, he was traded to the Boston Red Sox. In July 2005, he was released by the Red Sox but signed quickly with the New York Yankees. He was granted free agency at the end of the 2005 season. He signed with the San Diego Padres in 2006 and was granted free agency at the end of the season. In 2007, he signed with the Oakland Athletics and was granted free agency at the end of 2008. He signed with the Colorado Rockies for 2009. He was granted free agency at the end of 2009. In 2010, he resigned with the Boston Red Sox but was released before the season started.
